21 acres on the northern fringe of Billingshurst on the A29 adjacent to a recently consented scheme for 475 dwellings and ancillary development (schools, surgery etc). As a large sustainable settlement within the district (with a train station, retail and schools plus other amenities) and an increase in housing, the council acknowledges there is a shortage of commercial land within Billingshurst and the surrounding areas.
Following positive discussions with the local planning authority, including a positive pre-app response, we have submitted a hybrid planning application for over 200,000 sq ft of B1c, B2 and B8 use floorspace, including a petrol filling station, ancillary retail offering and a drive through coffee unit on a net developable area of 15 acres.
The local council have set a determination date of mid-April, and if successful, we will look to be on site in September 2019 with a practical completion date of May 2020.
