Property investor and developer Dunmoore has bought a vacant industrial unit at Stratton Business Park in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, with plans to create a 42,500 sq ft trade park.

The scheme will comprise eight trade counter units in a part new-build development and part comprehensive refurbishment of the existing unit, which was acquired from local industrial door supplier Jewers Doors for £4.3m.

Stratton Business Park is close to the intersection of the A1M roundabout and the A6001 London Road, with neighbouring occupiers including Lidl, McDonalds, Travis Perkins, Homebase and the A1 Retail Park.

Dunmoore director Andrew Scott said: “After a successful period of sales at the end of 2021, we have reinvested part of the equity into a typical Dunmoore repositioning opportunity.

“We know many of our existing trade tenants have requirements for space in the town and we look forward to working with them again.”
